Count me out? 3-19-09

“I have been quiet thus far. Why you might ask? AI have been asking myself this same question. The only answer I have been able to come up with is this. I have been talking since day one about getting a shot at the women’s title, and now that there is an opportunity in front of me, I don’t want it. It caught me off guard hearing the stipulations of this match. I have been thinking about it all week so far and still I don’t have anything to say. “
Thecar started moving once more and it was evident once the buildings in the background started moving by. That BlueDodge was moving at a steady speed and Kelsia did not look at the camera but kept her eyes on the road the whole time. Her destination was not of importance. She needed to get her voice heard though and soon before everyone thought she was going to be a no show this week, because that was anything but the case at hand. No she did not like the stipulations of the match, but would she let the opportunity go to waste? Probably not. You see, the title she did want. This soon was not what she was going for but this is the way the cards were dealt and she was ready to play her hand. She had plenty of time to think it over and now, it was time to play the game at hand.
“First off I have something to say to my tag partner last week. Robin. The lost last week, I put the blame of that on myself. If I was not so caught up with Alexa on the outside then I would have been there tobreak up the three count. There is nothing else I can really say about that. We both out our all into that match, I just got caught up on the outside and did not pay attention to what was going on in the ring. If I had let Alexa go and went back to my corner where I should have been you could have tagged me in. However I left you by yourself in that match and for that I am sorry.”
That was the last thing anyone would have expected her to say. Lately every match she lost was someone else’s fault. Of course this week everyone was probably expecting her to say how Robin was the one who got pinned so it was Robin’s loss and not hers. Alexa was probably expecting it more then anyone else, seeing as she called it that way before the match even happened. Was Kelsia being true to her words? Was she saying it just to get into her opponents head? That would be left for others to think about. From the looks and sounds of it she was being sincere with every word she had said thus far. Whether anyone believed her or not would be another story completely.
The vehicle slowed down before she placed it in park and got out of the car. At first glace out the window all anyone would see is trees all about. As the camera came to move and scan the area it would be familiar to anyone who paid attention to the promos from the week before. This was the park where Kelsia had met up with Robin Mayfair to get ready for their match.
When the camera came back to Kelsia once more she was not close in range anymore, however she was walking away. Her shoes had been removed and her bare feet were making contact with the fresh cut grass. How did you know it was fresh cut? The scent of grass was about the air and the looks of it told the same story. Kelsia’s hands went to smooth out the black dress she was wearing as she took a seat in the grass up against a tree. Her legs stretched out in front of her and her ankles crossed. There was something next to her on the ground that she threw there moments before. A bag of bread so it seemed.
“So this week it is Aurora, Alexa, Robin and myself. And to no surprise the Women’s Champion will be the one to determine who will be facing her for the title. I see so far no one has said anything to Aurelei. Should I do the same and keep my mouth shut? That would probably be the best idea, however, I feel the need to say something. After the cheap shot you took at me during the match last week Aurelei, I hope you play things fair this week at shockwave. “
“Taking a cheap shot at me was one thing, but if you play that sort of game this week when it comes to the pin fall. You not going to have one person coming at you. Instead it will be three. I am sure you could care less. I find it funny how Alexa and yourself form a team which you like to call Obsession and then the following week you are the guest referee in an important match up that your partner is involved in. Like I said, I am hoping you play it fair.”
Her hand reached back to pull the elastic band that was holding her hair back and with a shake of her head her hair fell in front of her shoulders and her face. That same hand went to brush her hair back in one sweep from the center of her head by her forehead back.
“Aurora, I think I have said it already, but if I am mistaken, welcome to ACW. I have not had the chance to come into the ring with you yet but I have seen your matches. Going against Robin from day one just as I had to. That right there prepares you for this company. At least it prepared me that’s for sure. I look forward to seeing you in the ring this Sunday, and more so one on one in the future. “
“Alexa, what can I say that has not already been said before? Nothing really. I could sit here going off on you once more. I don’t see a point in it though. For the last two weeks I have been in the ring with you. I have seen what you can do and I am not going to down you for it. You are a great competitor that is for sure. “
“You are all probably wondering what is wrong with me right now. Did I hit my head? Did Alexa give me one hell of a blow to knock some sense into my trash talking mouth? I realize that I have not really said too much in the negative so far. Yes I did slightly with Aurelei. Did I mean what I said? Yes. I don’t want to be screwed in this match because of her being the referee. Did I say it a bit harsh? Perhaps I did, and if it came out that way then I am sorry for that. “
“You see, like I said, I have been thinking these last few days. I don’t think there is any reason to come off bashing any of you. What is the point in it really? Get everyone all ready to knock each others heads off? We are ready to do that anyway aren’t we? After all, we are all looking for the win. Anyway, Alexa said it herself. She is tired of hearing me run my mouth. And I am tired of running it really. So instead of talking you all down, this time around I will do anything but that. See if that gets me anywhere. See if I can hold all my pent up energy for the match. How does that sound? “
She looked up at the sky, the sun was setting and the skies were a vibrant purple and pink at the moment. She seemed mesmerized by it. It was like a masterpiece of art work. It was forever changing, but everyone looked at it. It was beautiful in many ways.
After a moments time she looked down once more and readjusted herself where she was leaning up against the tree. There were birds talking to one another in the distance and it sounded like they were singing their own little tune. A pond in the view behind her to the left showed ducks within it relaxing about. They all seemed at home. At ease. It was a nice day. A nice evening was to come. And it was peaceful.
She put her hands on the ground. Picking up the bag as she pushed herself to her feet. Her feet moved one in front of the other as she made her way over towards the pond opening the bag as she went. Her hand went into the bag and pulled out a piece of bread before tucking the bag between her arm and her side as she broke the break up that was within her hand and threw it into the pond watching the ducks move faster towards the pieces of bread to make sure they got to eat some.
“No need for that. I have plenty to go around.”
She moved to grab another piece before breaking it up and throwing that in as well. A few birds came down from the trees seeing the bread being tossed in the air. She smiled and threw some on the ground for them as well. She crouched down there and looked towards the camera once more.
“Plenty to go around. This Sunday it will be that way also. I will be coming to the ring. I will put in my all as I have done these last few weeks and even if the result is the same, with me losing the match. I will know that I gave it my all. That I tried. So what, I lose this weeks match and lose the shot at the title? Like there will not be more down the line. “
“Alexa, none of us asked for this match. None of us asked to take your title shot away from you. That does not mean we will easily give up the chance to take it since it was handed to us. Call us greedy. We want it just as much as you do. Like I said, I didn’t want it this soon. I am sure that Robin would love to have that belt around her waist again. I am sure Aurora would love to get that belt after not being here long. As for myself, we all know I want the belt. Why? Because it shows that you belong. Winning the belt is one thing. But defending the title time and time again, and retaining it like Aurelei has. That means something. That’s what I want the chance to do. I want to prove to myself, and to all of you that I do belong here. “
“Its not really about proving it to all of you as much as it is proving it to myself. During these last few days I have questioned why I am here. Yes wrestling is a passion of mine. If I am going to come in and lose match after match should I really be here? Probably not right? “
She looked down as she felt her finger getting pecked.
“Did you want some more?”
She laughed before taking more bread from the bag and crumbling it up and tossing it into the pond. A single piece was handed to the duckling who was pecking her moments before then it to joined the others once more. She turned around and threw some more into the grass for the birds before standing up once more.
Taking what was left from the bag and crumbling it all up she tossed it about in the pond and on the grass leaving plenty for the ducklings and the birds to feed off of. Looking away from them once more she headed back towards the truck once more. Opening the driver door she lifted one foot and brushed it off before putting her shoe on then went about doing the same for the other. The empty bag was crumbled up and placed within the side panel of the car.
With a swift motion she hopped in the driver seat of the truck and started it up once more. The angle of the camera changed as the camera man moved about to get back in the truck as well. She pulled out of the park and back onto the main road that brought her here in the first place.
“I don’t have to say that I expect to see you three ladies put your all out this Sunday. I have been in the ring with two of you already and I already know that there is nothing I should expect but just that from you. As for Aurora, I have seen your match with Robin and from what I have seen, you bring your all as well.”
“Alexa, I am sure you are expecting me to retort on everything you said in your first promo this week. But like I said, I take the blame for the loss last week. I did not put it on Robin at all. Now that I think about it. My match between you and Aurelei was my fault as well. I could have brought more fight and not have gotten myself pinned. “
“Why did I put the blame on you? I think it was because I was mad about losing the match. Can you blame me there? Maybe you can. Who knows. But yes, once more it was my fault. The blame can only be put on myself if I lose a match and I am seeing that. Putting the blame on anyone but myself is not going to help me out at all. It will not help me get better in the ring. I have to take responsibility for my loses and learn from them. Try to better myself in anyway possible.”
The ride home was smooth. Well, not home really, just a hotel for the night. Her phone rang and she looked down seeing who it was just as she was parking the truck. Picking up the call she smiled.
“Yeah? I just pulled up. I will be up in a few minutes then I will need a half hour to get myself ready. Are you two ready? Oh. Okay I will be right up. See you soon enough.”
A short conversation at that. But none the less everything needing to be said was said. She closed her phone and put down once more.
“Now where was I? Oh right. I am going to give this another two weeks or so. If things have not changed by then. If I have not started putting my loses to use and learning from them. I am going to be leaving the ACW. No surprise there. If there is a surprise then sorry. I don’t think anyone will mind me leaving really. I just see no need for me to stay here if I am not going to learn the ropes.”
She turned the key and pulled it out before opening the door. Grabbing her phone and the empty bag she slide from within the confines of the truck.
“Just because I am thinking of leaving does not mean that I will not being it to you ladies this Sunday. Like I said, If I don’t put my loses to use then I shall be leaving. I have this week to see if I can do such. I will be brining it this Sunday and hard.”
She closed the door and went to walk towards the lobby.
“I guess that is all I really have to say for now. You will be hearing from me again soon.”
With that she vanished behind the door and the camera went to black before the ACW logo popped onto the screen.
