::Post-match,
Kelsia Vector, the reigning ACW World Women’s Champion is striding
with purpose down the backstage hallway of the Oracle Arena. In
blue jeans with a white button-down over a black tank top, she makes
her way through without meeting a single person’s eyes, her entire
focus on the path in front of her. It isn’t until T&A
step into that path, both in jeans and t-shirts, bearing the lumps
and bruises from last week’s decimation, that she stops…reluctantly
so.::
Tony: “You mind explaining to me what the hell that
was about last week, Kels?”
Adrean: “All that just to
get your damn doll back?! Who the hell do you think you
are?”
Kelsia: “First of all…”
::Shifting the
belt to the other shoulder and running her fingertip over the
nameplate bearing her moniker, she eyes the gold and leather strap
fondly, then turns a glare on her former associates.::
Kelsia:
“…I’m the World Women’s Champion, so you’d
best treat me with some respect around here. Secondly, I
didn’t have anything to do with you two
getting punked out…again. If I’d done it,
I’d have taken my little friend with me right then and there.”
::Tony and Adrean look incredulously at each other, then turn their attention back to Kelsia with no less irritable expressions.::
Adrean:
“And we’re supposed to believe that? Is that what
the doll told you to say?”
::Smiling
sweetly, but with menace in her eyes, Kelsia takes a step towards T&A
and lowers her voice.::
Kelsia: “Our private conversations
are none of your concern. If she wanted you to hear her,
you would. And I don’t care what you believe. If
I wanted you two taken out, I’d do it openly. I don’t
know who did that last week…but I have a damn good idea.”
Tony:
“Going to enlighten us or what?”
Kelsia: “Step aside and
find a monitor and you may learn something.”
::Pushing
between them, she continued down the hall while Tony and Adrean
stared after her, angry yet curious. The show switches
focus to the Oracle Arena proper just as ‘You’ve Got Another
Thing Coming’ by Judas Priest cues up.::
MS:
“Here comes Hot Chocolate, Robbie! Things just got a lot
hotter and a lot more beautiful in the Oracle Arena tonight!”
RJ:
“The ACW World Women’s Champion is on her way down to the ring
and she doesn’t look like she wants to do a meet-and-greet. She’s
all business.”
::Striding down the ramp, up the steps and into the ring, she walks over to the far ropes and demands a microphone which she brings to her lips as she reaches the center of the ring. Her hard stare is on the stage expectantly.::
Kelsia: “Aurelei…Lady Death…whatever the hell your artificially-pale ass is calling yourself this week…I want you out here right now!”
MS:
“…aaaaaand she’s officially flipped her wig.”
RJ:
“I second that statement.”
::After
a few moments of silence, Vector brings the microphone back up to her
lips, but only gets out a single syllable before ‘Shattered’
by Adema begins to play and Aurelei Jamison steps out onto
the stage, microphone in hand. Her expression betrays
amusement as she strides down the ramp clad in her ring gear under a
sleeveless hooded sweatshirt. Climbing the steps leisurely
and stepping in between the ropes, she walks up to Kelsia Vector and
stares her right in the eye, bringing her own microphone up first
before the verbose champion can start her tirade.::
Aurelei:
“Something…troubles you, Vector?”
Kelsia: “Don’t get cute with me, Jamison. I know what you did last week and I want answers!”
::While she does make the attempt to look innocent…with a blue-lipped, white-eyed smirk like that, it just doesn’t fly. Lady Death stares hard at Kelsia after getting over her initial amusement and closes the distance between them a bit, holding up the microphone to her lips form the side…so that it doesn’t get in the way.::
Aurelei: “All you know is what I allow you to know. In fact, the only reason you’re walking and talking right now is through my good graces. And you want to demand answers out of me? Who the hell are you to think you have that right?”
::She doesn’t raise her voice, but the comments are no less potent despite it. Kelsia slaps the title belt over her shoulder and sneers up at Jamison before bringing up her own stick.::
Kelsia: “I…am the World Women’s Champion. The first one in ACW history…the last one, too, since I don’t plan on letting it fall into anyone else’s hands…least of all yours!”
Aurelei: “You don’t have a choice. Your fate was sealed as soon as the contract was inked and you somehow scraped through with your reign intact at Hallow-Havok.”
Kelsia:
“And I suppose I should thank you for
that?”
Aurelei: “Not at all. It’s like
fattening up a turkey before Thanksgiving…the bird thinks it’s
great until realization dawns on it…but by then the axe is already
coming down. All my helpful training was just that.”
::The crowd is at a constant murmur as this exchange is going on, reacting to every intense word.::
Aurelei: “Same with returning your little toy to you. See, Vector, I don’t want you to have any excuses to whine about after Fall Fatale. I don’t want crying and blubbering about how everything was against you, how the odds were out of whack…anything like that. When I break you down and squeeze the last drops of blood and air out of you in two weeks…I want it clean and pure for my own personal satisfaction…and to shut your mouth once and for all.”
::Kelsia isn’t shocked into silence so much as she’s absorbing her opponent’s words. Lady Death lowers her microphone and continues to stare into Vector’s eyes, quite obviously in the champion’s personal space at this point. To her credit, Hot Chocolate doesn’t back down an inch. Rising onto her toes a bit, getting right in her Fall Fatale opponent’s face.::
Kelsia: “No one’s been able to shut my mouth yet, Aurelei…including you. That’s not going to change whether you get your grubby hands on this gold or not. I couldn’t give less of a damn that you or someone in your employ beat down T&A, but using my information to do it? That I have a problem with.”
::Bringing
her microphone back up, Aurelei answered simply.::
Aurelei:
“I’ll have what’s mine, little girl, no matter what I have to
do to get it. Your punk boyfriends are nothing but
collateral damage as far as I’m concerned. And that
belt? It will be coming home with me for good at Fall
Fatale.”
::Scattered cheers sound off amongst the boos in the crowd for both women. Neither are well-liked for their attitudes and actions, but as far as in-ring talent went…they were at least respected. Nose-to-nose with her future opponent, Aurelei whispers out her passing line.::
Aurelei: “Two weeks is shorter than you think when the gold and your life are on the line, Vector. I’ll show you why you never keep Lady Death waiting…”
::Refusing
to back down from the number-one contender, Kelsia snarls out her
final words to Lady Death.::
Kelsia: “This is far from
over.”
::’You’ve Got Another Thing Coming” hits the speakers again as Kelsia leaves the ring while Aurelei looks after her with a slight smile. Leaving the ring herself, she heads for the backstage area as a commercial break cues up.
