The
camera switches to another area backstage, showing Mike Voland
knocking on a locker room door labeled “Kelsia Vector.” After
knocking a few times he unscrews the cap from the thermos that he's
still carrying, turns it over, and pours a dark brown, steaming
liquid into it from the thermos before tucking the latter under his
arm. The door opens to show Kelsia in her ring gear as he pulls a
handful of mini marshmallows from the inside pocket of his trench
coat and drops them into the cap/cup and offers it to
her.::
Voland: “Hot chocolate?“
::Kelsia
looks at the proffered beverage and back up at the sunglasses covered
visage of her grinning partner for the night, trying to decide if
he's mocking her, being genuinely friendly, or perhaps
both.::
Kelsia: “No thanks, I'm good.“
Voland:
“Can't say I didn't offer.”
::Kelsia continues looking at
him suspiciously as he first blows on the hot chocolate and then
takes a sip.::
Kelsia: “Are you ready for this match?
I heard you were picking fights over that little Harris
tramp.”
::Voland wipes a bit of froth from his upper lip and
waves dismissively.::
Voland: “Nah, I just happened to
be in a place and time where I had an opportunity to make some of my
opinions known. I like spreading knowledge, even if some people need
to have it beaten into their skulls.”
Kelsia: “You got any
opinions about our match? Towers may be a rookie but he is really
damn big and I don't want any unpleasant surprises from
him.”
Voland: “The only unpleasant surprises will be
sprung on Captain Thyroid, not by him. You worry about Aurora and
I'll take care of the Glandular Wonder. You sure you don't want some
of this? You don't want to go into action with low blood sugar and it
tastes great.”
Kelsia: “No, I'm fine. And don't worry
about Aurora, I'll make sure she isn't a problem.”
Voland:
“Great! Just keep an eye out for falling muscle-bound freaks.
Sometimes it's hard to guess exactly which direction a guy is gonna
go down in and I'm going to be hitting him like a beaver on meth
attacking a redwood, so if something suddenly blocks out the lights
just dive out of the way.”
Kelsia: “I'll keep that in
mind. Don't you need to get dressed, or are you going to wrestle in
jeans?”
Voland: “Oh yeah, I knew I was forgetting
something. I'll see you in the ring.”
::Kelsia watches
Voland walk away for a moment before turning back and closing the
door.
