HL: “Our first match of the evening is scheduled for one fall!  On her way to the ring…”

::A distorted scream breaks out across the speaker system as the music, “Believe” by Breaking Benjamin, is pumped into the arena, Robin Mayfair stepping out from behind the curtain and looking out across the crowd with an impassive expression on her face. After a moment a grin cracks her lips and she lifts her arms above her head in a double wave, bumping her hips to the left and right briefly as the lyrics began to tumble from the wire mesh above. Dropping her arms, she walked slowly down the path to the ring with a bounce in her step, lips moving slightly to the lyrics of the first verse, a hand offering the occasional wave to anyone who reacted favorably to the woman before she got down to the ring.::

I don't care what you want, I just want mine! Shut up, smart little bitch, I don't need lies!
I don't care what you want, I just want mine! Get up, force it to fit, confined inside.

::Vaulting onto the apron, she pushed her hands against the turnbuckle and threw her lithe little body over the ropes and into the ring: skipping toward the centre where she would toss her head back and lift her arms: turning with a swirl of pleated skirt to double wave once, before settling back against the ropes and smiled, waiting.::

HL: “…from Tidworth, Britain, weighing in at 131 pounds…Robin Mayfair!”

MS: “She just keeps coming back, but even I am impressed by how well she handles all the challenges put in front of her.”

RJ: “She’s a fighter, and most of her opponents don’t realize that until it’s too late.”

MS: “Yeah, and some opponents who do…it don’t do them much good.”

HL: “And her opponent, hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and weighing in at 130 pounds…Kelsia Vector!”

::The lights begin to fade, going practically to nothing before the music, “Trip” by Tony M. Black, hits. Emerging from behind the curtain is none other then Kelsia Vector. The crowd is cheering, she is a favorite as of late. A smile across her blush colored lips as she starts walking down the ramp to the ring. Alternating sides her hand comes in contact with few that she walks past on either side. When only a short walk to the ring remains she runs the rest of the way jumping up onto the side of said area. A look to the left, then the right before bending over to enter the ring between the middle and top ropes. Once in the ring she goes to the right far corner, jumping onto the middle rope her hands come to her lips before raising in the air, as if sending her love to her fans. Jumping down she does the same with the adjacent corner before coming to stand, facing her opponent.::

MS: “About time we saw what this new girl was all about.  She’s done her share of talking over the last week or two.”

RJ: “I’m with you on that, but I choose to be more optimistic.  She’s got a challenge ahead of her, though.”

::The referee calls for the bell and the women meet in the center of the ring, face to face for a few moments before slowly backing away.  After a moment or two of sizing one another up, they lock up mid-ring with Kelsia showing a slight strength advantage over Robin in backing her into a corner of the ring.  The referee stepped in to call for the break, which happened cleanly, and as soon as Robin came out of the corner, they locked up again.::

::This time, Kelsia snared her in a side headlock, putting a little pressure on Robin.  But Robin quickly backed her opponent towards the ropes and shot her off towards the far side.  Kelsia responded with a shoulder knockdown, then hit the ropes again of her own accord, leaping over Robin as she briefly remained on the mat.  On Kelsia’s return, she was taken to the mat with a hip toss, and then a second one after she rose to her feet again.  A third rush earned her a deep armdrag and an armbar from Robin.::

RJ: “Rapid-fire moves by the former United States and Women’s champion tonight.  She’s doing a good job of taking advantage of Kelsia’s enthusiasm.”

MS: “Robin isn’t someone you want to match speed or guts with, because she’ll run over you if you try.”

RJ: “What should be Kelsia’s strategy, Mitch?”

MS: “She can’t let Robin get her frustrated and let herself get drawn into Robin’s pace.  She needs to pick her spots and be patient.  That might be too much to ask.”

::Kelsia worked her way up to her feet and managed to counter the armbar, twisting Robin into a hammerlock.  Robin, however, didn’t need long to reverse it into a hammerlock of her own.  Shoving Kelsia chest-first into the ropes, Robin caught her with a forearm to the small of the back and then shoved her forward again for a repeat of the move.  But this time, Kelsia stunned her with a back elbow and then hit the ropes of her own accord, coming back with a clothesline that dropped Robin to the mat hard.::

::The shot stunned Robin briefly, but she regained her feet quickly enough only to have Kelsia, who had been waiting on her to rise, rush in for another clothesline.  Robin stunned her with a European uppercut before the impact, however, and quickly cinched her in for a vertical suplex.  But Kelsia managed to wiggle out of it and down to her feet behind Robin.  Spinning her around, Kelsia dropped her to the mat with a neckbreaker and rolled into a pin attempt.  ONE…TWO…KICKOUT!::

MS: “That’s what I’m talking about…choosing your spots.  Robin doesn’t make many mistakes, so you have to pounce on her right away and press the advantage.”

RJ: “Kelsia’s got a slight strength advantage over Robin, and I think that works in her favor a little.”

MS: “Strength don’t mean much if you can’t catch your opponent, Robbie.”

::Robin kicked out of the pin and Kelsia responded with a side headlock on the mat.  Planting her feet on the mat, she tried to arch up and apply more pressure.  After a time or two of this, Robin took advantage and rolled Kelsia over her and onto her shoulders into a pin attempt of her own.  ONE…TWO…KICKOUT!  Quickly getting back up to her feet, Kelsia attempted to drop Robin with another clothesline, but Robin swung up onto her shoulders and took her over with a crucifix into another pin attempt.  ONE…TWO…KICKOUT!::

RJ: “It’s like you said…she’s being drawn into Robin’s pace.”

MS: “You should listen to me more often.”

::Drawing Kelsia up to her feet by the head, Robin took hold of her arm and twisted it overhead once before lighting up the woman’s chest with a pair of chops.  Irish whipping her into the corner, Robin followed with a clothesline that lifted her opponent into the air.  Whipping her into the other corner, Robin waved once to the cheering mass surrounding the ring and rushed Kelsia again, only to be greeted by a sudden spear from the challenger, who after a moment to regain her composure, went for the cover.  ONE…TWO…TH-KICKOUT!::

RJ: “Close one there!  Robin let herself get distracted for a moment!”

MS: “Especially against an unknown like Kelsia, that’s a bad idea.  You never know what crazy move to expect!”

::Picking Robin up from the mat, Kelsia put her back down with a scoop slam and then bounced off the ropes for an elbow drop, followed by a second one before going for another pin.  ONE…TWO…KICKOUT!  If Kelsia was frustrated at this point, it wasn’t showing as she drew Robin up again for a further assault.  But Robin punched her way out of her opponent’s grip, landing a few shots to her stomach before throwing off her hands and grabbing Kelsia by the head.  Leaping and driving her face down to the mat with a split-legged facebuster, Robin leaned forward to grab a leg, going for her own pin.  ONE…TWO…KICKOUT!::

::Still a little jarred from the impact, Kelsia was slow to get to her feet…and she didn’t stay there long, as Robin came in with a spinning heel kick followed by a snap leg drop.  Backing off several paces, Robin crouched in the corner and for lack of a better term stalked her opponent, waiting on her to get to her feet, which after those last few blows was a slow process.::

RJ: “Willing to bet that I know what Robin’s got in mind here.  What do you think, Mitchell?”

MS: “Someone’s getting a kiss from the ‘Argent Dawn’ and I just wish it was me.”

RJ: “I’m sure she’d oblige you, and then I wouldn’t have to hear comments like that anymore while your jaw was wired.”

MS: “Wishful thinking.”

::Sure enough, Robin was looking for the Long Kiss Goodnight.  Once Kelsia was up to her feet, Robin rushed her and went airborne, reaching for her opponent’s head.  Somehow, though, Kelsia got a hand up and turned the attempt into a modified chokeslam, driving Robin down to the mat hard.  One could almost see the air rush from Robin’s lungs.::

RJ: “Wow…didn’t see that counter coming!”

MS: “Looks like the strength advantage is good for something after all!  She caught Robin like a softball!”

::Still a bit groggy, Kelsia nevertheless went on the attack, landing a few stomps to Robin before leaning over to pick her up by the head, looking as though she wanted to end the match yesterday.  Cinching her in for a vertical suplex, she prepared to lift Robin…but the latter quickly rolled her up with an inside cradle!  ONE…TWO…THREE!::

::Robin rolled away from her opponent once the referee called for the bell, getting up to her feet slowly with a worn but jubilant expression on her face.  As the referee lifted her arm, Heather Lee made the official announcement.::

HL: “The winner of the match…Robin Mayfair!”

::Kelsia turned to look up at her opponent before slowly moving to get up to her feet.  Robin offered her a hand up, but Kelsia chose to stand on her own, though she did briefly shake the hand of the winner before stepping out of the ring and heading towards the back.  Robin took a few moments to wave to her fans before following suit.::

RJ: “Just goes to show that you can’t stop to think against Robin Mayfair…she’s fast in more ways than one.”

MS: “Exactly what other ways are you referring to there, Robbie?”

RJ: “Thought and action, Mitchell.  You know…two things you need to work on?”
