HL: “Our next match is scheduled for one fall and will be for the ACW Women’s Championship!”
::Where everyone would have heard “Down with the Sickness” by Disturbed, in its place came the sounds of “Heartless” by Kanye West, pulsing through the arena’s sound system.::
"In the night I hear them talk
Coldest story ever told
Somewhere far along this road he lost his soul
To a women so heartless
How could you be so heartless
How could you be so heartless?"
::As the chorus came through Kelsia Vector came out through the double-doors from behind the curtain one could tell she was still fuming from all that had happened. No trace of the KTA symbol on her attire this time, instead affecting a plain white fitted shirt on with the black flare pants that had no logo on them as well with white Reebok's topping it off. Her hands came up and she grabbed her hair holding it back tight to wrap the elastic band around it as the first verse started through. The chorus came forth once more and Kelsia headed down the ramp, there was a mix of cheers and boos coming from the crowd which was not what she was used to lately. Each step she took was fierce and with determination. She knew what this match entailed and she wanted to make sure things went the right way tonight.::
::Reaching the bottom of the ramp, she walked around to the stairs and ascended them towards the ring. Slipping between the ropes and making her way into the ring, she stepped up onto the middle rope and looked out at the crowd briefly before coming off the middle strand with a flip and landing on her feet, moving into a corner to prepare for the match.::
HL: “Now in the ring, the challenger. From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, standing five-foot-six and weighing in at 130 pounds, she is the number-one contender to the ACW Women’s Championship…Kelsia Vector!”
RJ: “Whole different side of Kelsia these days, Mitchell. Hard to pinpoint exactly when it came about, but the change is pretty drastic.”
MS:
“Hopefully she still has enough of her edge to make a good showing
here. Aurora…she’s even colder than usual and that can’t
be a good sign. Whatever’s going on between her and some of
the men around here…”
RJ: “Don’t even go there.”
HL: “And her opponent…”
::For
a moment there is silence, then what sounds like a static hiss before
the first swell of her theme comes up. The lights dim except for two
strong white lights towards the ACW-Tron, and the bass line of her
theme has obviously been augmented to seem more like an arena-wide
heartbeat, a pulse of energy to flow across the audience. On the
screen above there comes an image of Aurora in what looks like a
Victorian Era burial shroud, arms crossed over her chest, and fog
effect rolls up from the entrance way, back lit with softer white
light.::
::A soft voice breaks through the music, her voice
apparently. "We are..."
::The white lights on the
ACW-Tron go black, and for a moment there is silence again, then the
music swells up louder than before on the down beat of the chorus,
when the word "Cold" is sung she appears, sprinting towards
the ring, her arms up to sweep back the white hood, her black hair in
a tight pony-tail to stream behind her. When she hits the ring apron
she jumps to grab the middle rope, using her momentum to bring her
right up on the apron and then she turns to face the ramp, arms going
up over her head. A slow backflip into the ring and she slips out of
the hoodie and flings it at one of the ring-handlers, moving to the
center of the ring she strikes a classic strong-man style pose to
show off her toned arms.::
HL: “…from Dayton, Ohio, she
stands five-foot-eight and weighing in at 145 pounds. She is
the reigning and defending ACW Women’s Champion. Ladies and
gentlemen…the ‘Ghost’…Aurora Jansen!”
MS: “There’s definitely something going on in this woman’s head…but good luck finding out what.”
RJ:
“She has to put it aside whatever it is. Kelsia may be
fighting back an injury or two and she may look calm…but she’s
still dangerous.”
MS: “If the Ghost gets distracted, then
her dream’s over.”
::The bell rings and the two women get
down to it; locking up Aurora twists Kelsia and snatches her arm up
in to a crucifix armbar. Kelsia thrashes from the lock and manages to
break free and start the grapple all over again and returns the
sentiment by twisting Aurora in to a crucifix armbar of her own,
Aurora’s slight edge from her height allows her to touch canvas and
push back into Kelsia. Both women collide with the ropes and from the
momentum Aurora goes to the mats where she rolls out; Kelsia runs for
the other side of the ring. Kelsia comes back into the ring fast and
hard as Aurora gets to her vertical base; Aurora takes a spear from
Kelsia and is hauled off of her feet, Kelsia take Aurora down hard
and hooks a leg for pin and the referee slides in to count it out.::
RJ: “One…two…no, the champion’s not out of it yet. Kelsia was smart to try for an early pin though, if only to make the champ expend the energy of kicking out.”
MS: “Some of the viciousness appears to be showing, but it’s whether or not she can keep it going now…”
::Aurora throws her shoulders clear of the canvas and grabs a hand full of Kelsia’s hair and starts throwing punches in to her face, the ref has to intervene. Kelsia staggers away and is spit acid in her anger from being assaulted that way but the tactic has served its purpose and bought Aurora a few seconds to recover. The ref calls the match to continue and the two lockup again; Kelsia grabs Aurora tight in to wristlock and proceeds to walk her around the ring before slamming her elbow down into her joint; Kelsia shift grip to grab Aurora by her throat for a chokeslam; Aurora, using her other arm, knocks Kelsia’s away freeing herself and strikes an open-handed slap across the face of Kelsia that simply stops her in her tracks.::
RJ:
“Ouch…that’s a hell of a wake-up call.”
MS: “And a
bad idea when Kelsia’s already simmering…”
::Stunned by the insult Kelsia stands there with her jaw almost hitting the floor out of embarrassment; seizing the moment Aurora snatches Kelsia’s arm in to a wristlock; Aurora wastes no time in bringing this fight to the mat with an armbar takedown; Kelsia tries to roll free but Aurora has the lock in tight; Aurora doesn’t let the laurel lie and shifts again into an inverted facelock on Kelsia. Screaming her denial Aurora settles for grinding her in to the canvas before releasing her; Kelsia doesn’t get a chance to get her feet as Aurora steps and hammers down in to her spine with an axe-handle blow, caught up in the moment Aurora presses by stomping down on the prone Kelsia but not for long when the ref steps in to separate them.::
MS: “I told you, Robbie…Aurora’s got something on her brain. There’s more snap in every blow and maneuver.”
RJ:
“Kelsia has to show the same before this match becomes a
blowout.”
::Aurora tries to take down Kelsia through a side
headlock, Kelsia pulls free catching Aurora’s arm in to an arm
wrench but stumbles leaning in to the ropes. Kelsia pulls Aurora from
the ropes and across the ring to the other side; Kelsia moves into
Aurora’s path on the rebound a nails her him hard with a
clothesline, the champ isn’t out and already up to her knees as
Kelsia gathers her up, landing a set of closed fists in to Aurora’s
face before backing her in to the ropes again and in to an Irish
whip; Reaching the other side Aurora wraps her arms around the top
rope to kill the momentum, Kelsia is not happy and stalks towards the
champ. The two circle again this time with Kelsia offering the
outstretched hand which Aurora takes before reaching out with her
other hand. Aurora tries to stomp a kick into Kelsia’s stomach but
she twists and dodges the blow and follow through to attempt a
takedown but Aurora breaks the grip and loose her balance for a
moment but long enough to allow Kelsia back to her feet. Aurora turns
into meet Kelsia and takes a running front kick from the challenger
pushing her into the ropes, with the recoil adding momentum to an
Irish whip from Kelsia that sends Aurora across the ring again;
Kelsia follows on for a few steps and hits the mat to allow the champ
to pass over before rising only to find Aurora with both her arms
wrapped around the top rope to break her progress and deny Kelsia the
intercept one more time.::
RJ: “Neither woman seems to be able to get and keep the advantage for long here, Mitchell. Maybe both of them are more distracted than they let on.”
MS: “Aurora’s succeeding in getting under her opponent’s skin if nothing else.”
::Kelsia is obviously enraged and charges; Aurora drops pulling the top rope down and causing the challenger to tumble over the top; the trap was scouted and Kelsia breaks her fall by reaching out for the apron and cart wheeling on to her feet righting herself in time to come face to face with Aurora. Kelsia smiles before driving a stiff kick through the top two ropes into Aurora’s midsection driving the Women’s Champ backwards; Aurora recovers quickly to meet Kelsia’s re-entry to the ring with a set of forearm smashes to Kelsia’s upper body which stop her dead; Kelsia manages to block some of the blows and sidesteps in to a spinning back hand which buys her a little room to move. Kelsia leans into the ropes and charges Aurora with a running front kick which Aurora blinked and missed landing her and Kelsia on the mat, but it Kelsia who rolls out first and sits astride the champion delivering a set of mounted punches despite the warnings from the referee. Kelsia Vector heeds the fast five-count by ref. and backs off only to let Aurora get to her knees before Vector comes barging in and stomping on her opponent’s ribs and shoulders.::
MS:
“Now that’s the Kelsia we all know and enjoy. Now let’s
see if that fire will prompt the Ghost to get her rear in gear.”
RJ:
“These two have a nearly even win/loss record against one another…I
doubt this is close to over.”
::Aurora is brought to the
all-important vertical base and the led to the center of the ring
where Kelsia is setting her up for a fireman’s carry. Aurora fights
out from the hold and pushes herself free from Kelsia and turns the
momentum into her favor via a spike DDT and rolling Vector to her
back she holds Kelsia for a strained two-count from referee. Kelsia
gets to her knee as Aurora moves to grab him to a vertical bas but
Kelsia shoves her hard enough that Aurora falls backwards towards the
ropes. Kelsia moves in and Aurora comes back hard and trades blows
with her; Kelsia blocks Aurora’s initial forearm smash and answers
with closed fist to her face; partly-tripping and partly-dodging
Kelsia’s advance the champ replies with a combo European uppercut,
forearm smash and spinning heel kick that Kelsia seems to take in
stride as she raises a knee into Aurora’s midsection doubling her
over and allowing Vector to drop an elbow to the back of Aurora’s
neck; Aurora works with it and shunts into Kelsia, lifting her from
the canvas in an atomic drop and allows Vector to collapse on to the
canvas where she starts to ground and pound on the challenger.::
RJ: “Kelsia’s weathering the storm well considering her concussion, and she had Aurora reeling a time or two.”
MS: “The referee has to work to keep these two crazy women from tearing each other apart.”
::Again the referee intercedes and warns the Champion this time and Aurora steps off heeding the ref’s warning. But taking a page out of her opponent’s playbook she charges back in to stomp the back and shoulders of Vector keeping her down. Again Aurora brings Kelsia to her feet and drops Kelsia through another spike DDT. Kelsia is rolling in agony and without an aspirin. Taking her time Aurora raises her hands to the fans and points down at the still-writhing Kelsia Vector before patting her elbow. The champ climbs the ropes to the top of the post and stands with her arms raised and the crowds cheering. Aurora flies, lines up the elbow on the drops and strikes canvas as Kelsia shifts less than twelve inches to her right; Kelsia tries to regain her focus from two consecutive DDTs from Aurora and looks like she is totally unaware of what is going on. The ref checks on Aurora and then Kelsia but steps back when Kelsia finally stands unassisted on her own two feet, then seeing Aurora on the ground. She looks at the ropes then at Aurora and then runs leaping from the ropes in a moonsault; this time it was the champ who was playing possum and rolls out of Kelsia’s dive.::
RJ: “She drew her in, Mitchell! That might have been the opening that the champion needed!”
MS:
“Kelsia looks like she’s out on her feet…!”
::Aurora
applies the front facelock on Kelsia again. Draping Vector’s near
side arm over her shoulder Aurora then lifts Vector in to a vertical
before smartly dropping the challenger into a sit-out position
driving Kelsia Vectors face straight in to the canvas.::
MS: “Dreamcatcher from up high! I think that’s the end!”
RJ:”
One…two…three! Aurora retains the gold!”
HL: “Your
winner and STILL ACW Women’s Champion…Aurora Jansen!”
::It
was hard-fought and it showed on both women…both the standing
Aurora and the stirring Kelsia. The latter gradually pulled up
to her feet and eyed the retaining champion for a moment before
ducking down and rolling out of the ring, heading to the back.
The referee briefly raised Aurora’s arm into the air after
presenting her with the title.::
MS: “A hard-fought match,
no doubt…and Aurora hasn’t seen the last of Kelsia.”
RJ:
“Kelsia’s got a new hunger for that gold and it would be hard to
shut her out of contention. But for now, Aurora can exult in
her victory.”
