Time to Face the Past... and Forget the Future. 12-16-11

June 3, 2012

I don’t know why I am doing this to myself. I have yet to figure that out. Why would I come back here of all places? Amusement parks are supposed to be fun… and they always were. Right now however… it’s anything but fun. I figured I could go on the Ferris Wheel and just look out at the lights and enjoy myself… and while looking out at everything lit up… while it cheers me… there is something dark sitting inside me wanting to ruin it all. I have got to get out of here… or at least get my head out of the game.

Closing my eyes, I wait for my thoughts to subside, and I wait… and wait… and … damn it! Opening my eyes I force myself to forget. Looking out at the bright colors below, I sit back and enjoy the breeze passing by. Feel it blowing my hair back. If I were to close my eyes I could almost feel his fingers running through the stran…. What the fuck am I doing?

Dear god… help me.

I don’t know what the hell I was thinking… letting my mind drift back to those days. I haven’t thought about it in a long time… so why now? Why do places like this have to bring back memories of him? Simple answer… because these were the places they had enjoyed the most.

As the Ferris Wheel came to a stop, Kaylyn was more than happy to get off rather quickly. Hell, she had to get away. Clear her mind. Anything to stop this torture.

For all the reasons I decided to come here… they are all the reasons I should stay away. Funny. Don’t you think Corey? After all… for all the reasons you wanted to come to IWF… avoiding me was the one thing that had you second guessing joining. Coming face to face… I believe it’s something we both thought would never happen again.. but, here we are.

She laughed softly before running her hand through her hair, raking out the knots that formed from the winds blow. As cool as it was, she made sure to dress for the occasion. Black jeans were a tight fit, and hugged every curve, while resting low upon her waist, while her white shirt, was a tank top, with the sides being made of lace. A black leather jacket left partially unzipped had the tank showing both center, and below.

I started thinking… wondering if it would really be Creeping Death that was going to stand in the ring across from me at FrostByte.. if so, than it would be he I should be addressing… but when I thought harder… when did I ever call you such? Not often to tell the truth. Even as Creeping Death.. I was one of the few who were always able to get away with calling you Corey Black, and having nothing being said regarding it. So… I am going to stand by that. I hope that does not bother you Corey because if it does.. well, it’s your problem, not mine.

A soft smile played across her face, but only for a moment. While walking, her right hand raised to her hair, twisting a strand around her finger many times.

It looks like my presence alone has brought back someone you have kept hidden for quite some time. Someone that many before me have tried to bring out. Someone that I had not expected to see. You lost it Corey. You caved and let him win. Tell me something… how can you call yourself a man? You can’t even fight your own demons. It is really a shame.. I thought you were so much stronger than that.

A soft sigh was followed by an eye roll before Kaylyn glanced to the side, and her eyes lit up seeing a house of mirrors.

Well, that looks like it might take my mind off of things.

That smile stayed on her lips as she moved towards it. Heading up the steps, and walking inside, letting herself stop now and again as her image changed upon the mirrors she was walking by.

It’s a maze… your mind that is. You have to make your way here and there, avoiding certain things… or you will trigger responses that you wish to avoid. Well… this time around, you lost. You didn’t avoid everything… or in this case… everyone that would trigger such a response.

Kaylyn saw something out of the corner of her eye and turned around, but nothing was there. Shaking her head she moved on, feeling along the mirrored walls to keep herself heading in the right direction.

We had it all at one point Corey. We had everything… and you say it was all me.. all my fault that things vanished.

She laughed softly before her laughter stopped as none other than Creeping Death came into the picture. She stood there frozen. Seeing herself in every mirror, with him there as well. Turning around she looked… but was not sure where he was… was it in her head?

You’re trapped. What’re you going to do!? I don’t know about you… but I hate feeling trapped. Hate having no way out. Unlike you though… I can get away. I can free myself from unnecessary evils. I can escape what’s within my mind.

A soft smile played across her face once more as she kept her hand on the mirrored wall and moved along once more.

And Poof! I’m gone.

She continued to walk until she no longer seen him within the mirrors anymore. It was all in her head. She knew it. Jesus. That was fucked up. Her mind playing tricks on her was not something she enjoyed. Not at all. Yeah, it was time to get out of there. She didn’t stop again until she was at the end of the hall, and leaving the other side. Stepping into the cool air once more she moved along the side of the building, before turning the corner to head behind it. Leaning against the building she closed her eyes.

Get the hell out of my head. God. I swear… after FrostByte.. if you pop into my head again I will have to end things once and for all.

She stood there for a while, not moving. Not speaking. Just clearing her mind. After a while, she moved back around the building and into the crowd once more. Walking past a few games set up along the way she smiled as children were getting hyped up while playing. Ah, the little pleasures of life. Then they all grow up, and realize that things were so much better when they were carefree.

So Corey… I guess I should start from the beginning. That way you know just where you went wrong. Yes, you did take me under your wing. You taught me many things. Helped me grow as a wrestler. We were close… and became closer. You were just like me than Corey. You too were a wrestler. It was not until a little while later that you became boss man. Are you trying to say that I knew you were going to step up and fill that void? Please. Not even you know what goes on in your head… so how would I?

Kaylyn shook her head, freeing it from the thought of such things.

You see Corey Black, you were right about some things you said as well. I am manipulative. However, I never once manipulated you. You helped me… of your own free will. I never forced anything upon you. Hell, you were even quite the gentleman. And now… I still believe deep down you are that, but you don’t even know where that part of you is anymore.

You fight all the time to avoid things in life, instead of just living it to the fullest as it is. Corey Black, Creeping Death. Who gives a shit? When I first laid eyes on you… it was Creeping Death I met. Even he was a gentleman. I guess not promising someone forever can change things though.

Hell, maybe I should keep that in mind when it comes to Tyler. After all, I never promised him forever.

It seems like that is what this is all about Corey. People change though. Hell, you’re proof of that. Nothing stays the same. How we handle things tells what kind of person we truly are though. Should I have done something different to avoid all of this? Should I have stayed by your side? Oh… maybe all I would have had to do was apologize after opening the door in your face.

Kaylyn laughed and shook her head.

Right. Like that would have made a difference. Corey, you seen who I was, and how I operated before we became involved with one another… so why are you holding those things against me now? You always enjoyed the fact that I did what I had to do, to get to where I am today. That’s what baffles me the most, the fact that it bothers you so much now.

Help me to understand that Corey. Was it only okay when you were by my side? I admit, you helped me grow, but that didn’t mean things were going to be forever. I never promised anyone forever… and I am not going to start now. I don’t jump because people ask me to Corey. You know that. Hell, I didn’t jump into The Corporation to get anything out of it either. I don’t need anyone to get further in the business, or in life. Sometimes, opportunities present themselves though… am I supposed to turn a blind eye?”

Kaylyn shook her head. What the hell was she getting herself into? This was all going to come back and kick her in the ass. She could se ethat much already. But… it had to be said. And if that was the outcome in the end… so be it. She was not going to sit back and hold it in just to please others. Just to keep another person happy. Fuck that. Obviously keeping people happy was not something she did well over time. If it was… maybe she wouldn’t be in this position in the first place.

I don’t know why you expect from me Corey. Hell, I don’t know what I expect from myself at this point… at least not in regards to this situation. I didn’t want for things to be this way between us, but now that they are… there isn’t much I can really do about it. If things were bothering you so bad.. you know you could have came to me about it. That would have been a better bet than avoiding me, and letting it come down to this… to FrostByte.

Now we are going to find ourselves across the ring from one another.. and what is that going to prove? Do you think it’s going to solve everything? Make things better? Because I sure as hell don’t think so. The match is set however, and there is no changing it.

Kay sighed before biting down on her lower lip. Her hand balling into a fist. After a moment, she swung forward letting it smack into the wall that was one of the buildings along the outer edge of the park.

Damn it Corey! I don’t even know who the hell you are anymore! You would never lay your hand on a woman. Hell, even Creeping Death wouldn’t. Now… now you have gone and taken a pipe to my head. Knocked me out the following week in Norman’s office. Did you think I was just going to let it slide Corey? Come’on now. You know me better than that. You know that I only take so much before I come flying back with shots of my own. Last week, you got what was coming to you. You asked for it Corey. You pushed me to it. And I was not going to sit around waiting for you to attack me again. This time.. I got you first.

You changed. So god damn much. And I have to wonder… if the real reason of your change was because of what I did in the past… or if it was something else. Sure, it’s easier to put the blame on someone, so go ahead. Blame me. I honestly don’t give a flying fuck.

Who was she fooling? She did care. Maybe too much. That was the problem. She never wanted to hurt him in any way. That was not her goal. Hell, they just… drifted apart. Damn… did she ever even leave him? Kay raked her memories, fighting to find out what exactly happened, and she couldn’t find it. Couldn’t find a memory of either one saying good bye to the other. Fucking Christ. Now what?

Now, we are going to wind up in the ring… you knowing my moves, my knowing yours. It’s going to be interesting to see who comes out on top. After some time has passed, have we both grown in the ring? Has one of us fallen off track with our skill? That’s something we will be able to see before the three count is made. Remember Corey. I know you. Inside and out. Do you really think you have what it takes to take me down in the ring without your games? Can you do it one on one without any tricks? No weapons. No lights going off and on again. Just a straight up one on one match. I guess we will see. Either way… this is far from over.

What’s happened between us… what’s happening between us… it goes beyond the ring, and it can not be settled once and for all in the ring either. One way or another you will have to face your fears, and stop avoiding me. The only way this will get better, is to get through the storm. Do you have what it takes? Can you be a real man once again?

Kaylyn just wasn’t sure about that anymore. Hell, she shouldn’t even care. She had Tyler now. So why did Corey even matter to her? Tyler… right. Sure, she had him. At one point. Now, she wasn’t so sure anymore about that even. Where was he anymore? Sure, he was around. Things were still good, but damn it… he was always withher. Kaylyn took a deep breath and let it out slowly. The last thing she needed was to start worrying about something like that. There was nothing going on there.. she was sure of that.

Damn it. All of this… all at once. I don’t know if I can take it anymore. I.. I..

Kaylyn closed her lips and stopped speaking. Putting her head down she kicked at the rocks upon the ground as she walked. Lifting her head up she looked across the crowd and froze at what she seen… or rather.. who. Corey Black… Creeping Death. So, it wasn’t in my head after all…

Staring at him for a long moment she didn’t move. After a while she shook her head before turning her back to him. Pulling her phone from her pocket she dialed a number. Waited.. waited. Walked away while it rang. Was that a voice? Did he answer? Was that his voice mail? What the hell…

Look. I can’t do this. I quit.

Falling Apart? 12-14-11

June 3, 2012

The camera had been running for hours, yet Kaylyn couldn’t think of a word to say. The events of the previous weeks were one thing… but she must have been outright mad to demand a match against Corey Black at Frostbyte. What was the point? To prove to him that he could not get the best of her? Yeah, like that was it. After all, he got the best the last two weeks as he …. rather, Creeping Death… left her laying unconscious.

“How the hell can I even think about stepping into the ring ...

Careful What you Wish for. 12-06-11

June 3, 2012

“Ow, damn it, be careful!”

Kaylyn pulled her head away from the doctor who was examining her, and turned a cold stare in his direction. It had been one hell of a week for her, and it didn’t seem like it was going to stop any time soon.

“Is it fine or not? I don’t have time to sit here all day. I have a match to worry about damn it!”

Kaylyn had avoided the EMT’s like the plague while at the arena, and waited to see her doctor the day after. She would rather deal with him, and keep h...

One Drink To Many. 11-28-11

June 3, 2012

What better way was there to forget everything that was going on around you than to drink it all away? Sure, it would all be there again after the alcohol wore off, but until then… Ah, the peace that was brought about… so worth it.

So… Dead End… was it what I thought it would be? Before I even think about that, I am going to go a little further back. These past few months that I have been in IWF have been something else. Good and bad, up and down. Its been a tough road, but no matter w...

Nightmares, What a Bitch. 11-16-11

June 3, 2012

Her eyes were closed tightly. The tears streaming down her face as she cried softly to herself. His weight above her was too much, that along with her hand being pinned over her head, had her unable to fight him off.

Kaylyn as a child: Stop, please… I’m sorry, whatever I did.. I’m sorry.

A breathless laugh was heard coming from the man, while he continued his assault upon her.

Lost in the Mix? 11-12-11

November 15, 2011

If there is one thing I never liked... It was wild cards, and that is exactly what I think when it comes to Ymir. Great asset, but of course... however, can he be trusted? Not likely. Tyler knows what he is doing, he always has... but this time, I am a bit skeptical. Trusting a man that degrades everyone he comes across? Trusting someone that can't be touched for the most part.... not a good strategy in my eyes.

Then again, guess with me walking out on the match, and him being in the match at ...

Dog Eat Dog. November 7, 2011

November 8, 2011
Thursday...

It had been hours since the couple had entered the little Italian restaurant, and they were so into one another and the conversation that time flew by without them even realizing it.

Kaylyn James Evans:“How are you feeling with Dead End nearing?”

The look on Tyler's face said it all, but he verbally answered none the less.

Tyler Brooks:
“You already know my thoughts on that. I am just hoping that after this week, the odds are evened out a little towards my favor.”

Kaylyn reache...

Always time for fun. October 16, 2011

November 8, 2011
“He was shanked?”

The voice of Kaylyn James Evans was heard rather clearly as the camera neared her in the rather active gym.

“Holy hell! That’s fucking great news Heather!”

Kays day seemed to be picking up already as she heard the news about her ex being stabbed while in prison.

“Guess he should learn to keep his hands off of the others honey buns!”

She stated before laughing aloud. Listening to what Heather had to say on the other end stopped her laughter in its tracks rather qu...

Ready Dollface? October 11, 2011

November 8, 2011
“You were my sun. You were my earth.

But you didn’t know all the ways I loved you, no.

You took a chance, and made other plans

But I bet you didn’t think they would come crashing down NO!”

A little tipsy was Kaylyn James Evans as she blarred the music video for Justin Timberlakes ‘Cry Me A River’ and was dancing around the living room. Sure, dancing was nothing to indicate her slight intoxication, however the occasional stumble along with the budweiser in her hand gave the viewers eve...

Been there, done that. October 2, 2011

November 8, 2011
Relaxation, it was definitely needed. Laying back in the tub, she closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of the hot water, and the bubbles surrounding her. Hearing a noise coming from the hall she turned her head towards the door almost instantly as it opened. Seeing Tyler standing there she smirked looking up at him.

Kaylyn James Evans:
“Mm, looks like the champ has awoken. Care to join me?” She stated with a smirk still present on her face.

Tyler needed to not say anything at all, as his ...
