Time to step up. September 24, 2011
Posted by Kaylyn James Evans on Tuesday, November 8, 2011
When the feed opens, we see Kaylyn sitting in a house that was not her own apartment with Mr. Brooks, but instead another place. This would be the home of Heather Miller, a good friend of hers. On one side of the island in the kitchen, sat the blonde, Heather, dressed in white sweat shorts, and a black tank top with light blue peeking from the top of the shirt. Kaylyn sat on the other side, with a foot up on the edge of the stool in front of her. Hugging her sweat pant covered leg, which the pants were rolled up upon around her calf, and her skin partially shown around her abdomen with that shirt that had been ripped around the hem to make it shorter, she seemed rather comfortable.
Kaylyn James Evans: “Do you have facial hair?”
Heather Miller: “No, I do not.” Stated Heather before the clicking started up as Kaylyn lowered pieces on the board in front of her. The ladies were playing their special edition of Guess Who with the IWF Superstars upon it.
Heather Miller: “Might you be fang-less?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “Nope. I definitely have fangs.”
Kaylyn said laughing softly as that gave Heather all the information on the card in front of her. The camera went around and looked at Heathers board to see Kaito as the card she had. Quite fitting.
Kaylyn James Evans: “Do you have green eyes?”
Heather Miller: “I don't once again.”
Heather Miller: “I am going to just take a wild guess here...” Stated Heather who only had one piece up on her board, “but are you Dalca?” She stated laughing softly knowing that no one else had fangs.
Kaylyn James Evans: “Lucky Guess.”
Heather laughed softly before taking the card off the front of her board and showing Kaylyn who she had. Jiraiya Kaito. Kaylyn rolled her eyes before speaking once more.
Kaylyn James Evans: “How convenient that the two men I will step into the ring with this week happened to be the cards played this time around.” Kaylyn stated before lowering her leg and tossing the card of Dalca into the box with the unused cards before putting her board in it as well. “Cards would be so much more appealing now.” She stated before laughing.
Heather Miller: “Well, clean this up, I will grab the cards, and in the meantime... you can tell me a little about what you plan to do when you step into the ring with these two.”
Heather stated before getting off the stool and heading into the area behind Kaylyn, and going through the bottom drawer to get a deck of cards.
Kaylyn James Evans: “Please, you're acting like you don't watch the show. You already know about both of them.”
Heather Miller: “That might be true... however, that still does not tell me what your intentions are when you step into the ring this week.”
Kaylyn turned to the side looking back at Heather who closed the drawer and stood up straight to turn around and see the look she was getting.
Heather Miller: “What?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “You are acting as if I would have any intentions other than the usual week in and week out.”
Heather Miller: “Well, do you?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “No, I don't.”
Heather Miller: “So you don't plan on teaming up with Kaito to get rid of Dalca?”
Kaylyn thought it over for a moment before shaking her head.
Kaylyn James Evans: “No, that just wouldn't do. You know me Heather. Since when can I not handle things on my own? When do I want another to step in and handle anything for me?”
Heather Miller: “Never.”
Kaylyn James Evans: “Exactly, and that's what Kaito did. While it's admirable that he stepped up and defended me against the actions of Dalca... I did not need to be defended. I pulled my hand back, it should have been left at that. It's not like Dalca hurt me at all.”
Heather Miller: “And what do you think he was planning to do when he showed up in the ring after your match a few weeks back? Hold your hand and escort you to the back, after kneeing you?”
Kaylyn sighed and closed her eyes for a moment before opening them and looking over at Heather who was moving back towards her seat on the other side of the island.
Kaylyn James Evans: “No. I never said anything like that Heather. Jesus. Just because I am a bitch most of the time doesn't mean I am blind to what's going on in front of me. I know things could have gotten bad if Kaito had not come to the ring, but damn it... I don't need the help. So, he might have kicked my ass that night. Hell, people act like I can not take a beating. I don't need saving from anyone. Lilith learned that you don't mess with me without paying the price for it, and Dalca will figure that out this week.”
Heather Miller: “And Kaito?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “He will come to see that I can handle myself, no matter what the situation. It's one thing to want to be a friend. Its another thing completely to step in and try to defend me. Hell, I hate when people think I am something so fragile I can't handle a situation. So what if he is bigger than me... stronger more than likely as well. It doesn't matter. I know what I am capable if I set my mind to it, and the fact that others think I need to be babied... just drives me insane. I am sick of it.”
Heather Miller: “Why don't you stop acting like a pansy and step into the ring and give it your all each week instead of slacking off and letting your opponents get the best of you because of it?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “.....”
Heather Miller: “Yes, I went there. You act like after all these years I don't know when you are slacking, and when you are seriously wanting the win. Hell, I think you have only tried a handful of times, and other than that... you just didn't give it your all... you handed your opponents your weaknesses on a platter. Why would you do that?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “....”
Kaylyn sat in silence once more before taking the board Heather was using and putting that and the card into the box and closing it up. Staying in silence she pushed herself to a stand before moving to the fridge and grabbing a bottle of water out of it. Opening it up she took a sip while pushing the fridge shut with her hip. After moving the bottle from her lips she sighed and shrugged her shoulders as a response.
Heather Miller: “That doesn't say much at all Kay. What is the point in being there if you are going to lose each and every week?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “You know I love the sport Heather.”
Heather Miller: “Then how about you start acting like it... and show everyone what you are really capable of?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “Look, you know how I do things. I have never just showed anyone what I was able to do right off the bat. No matter what the situation was. I have always just let people think I was capable of less, so that way I had the element of surprise, and was able to tear them a new one in the end.”
Heather Miller: “Kay, you have been there long enough... it's time to step up and get into the sport like you really wanted to. You didn't sign the contract just to lose every match without a fight. Get in there and give your opponents the fight of a lifetime week in and week out. I don't care who the hell they might be. You're able to do so much more than you have been each week, and honestly, if you don't step up soon, all that will happen is you will be tossed to the side.”
Kay rolled her eyes before pointing to the deck of cards in Heathers hand. Heather shook her head but dropped the subject, at least for the night.

Heather is right. I need to stop playing games, and show everyone what I am truly capable of. I need to let them all see that I am capable of handling my own in the ring, and out of it. Show them I don't need a babysitter like Kaito saving my life week in and week out. Also show Dalca that I am nothing like his long lost love. Damn, why me?
I ask myself that all the time, and I can never figure out the answer. I wonder, am I that horrible? Was I a bad person in a past life? Hell, I must have been seeing as all the shit I deal with in this one. It seems like every time I turn around, something new is going on. Oh well, so is life. It is time though. I have had plenty of time laying on the mat after a match looking at the ceiling, now, its time to do quite the opposite, and be looking down at my opponent(s) who will be doing just that.
I will be showing everyone the Kaylyn that knows how to get into the ring and handle her own. I will show them all that I don't need the help of one, Jiraiya Kaito. I can stand up to those like Dalca Ionescu, and I can over come mostly all obstacles put in my way. I am not some push over like many might be thinking. I am not... Lilith Evans.
Wake up world, because Divine Inspiration is the start of something good for me, and you don't want to miss a beat.

The morning sun was shining in through the opened blinds and Kay turned her head away from the light, before feeling the breeze that was coming into the room. Lifting her head up she looked around before her head tilted seeing the window ajar.
Kaylyn James Evans: “What the.... Heather, you awake?”
She stated raising her voice before hearing Heather who moved down the hall and into the room.
Heather Miller: “What's up?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “Did you open the window on me?”
Heather Miller: “No... do I ever?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “No.. but it was shut when I went to sleep.”
Kay stated before walking over towards the window and closing it, locking it at the top. Looking around she shook her head before tilting it once more as she felt something against her skin. Her hand moved up to the chain around her neck that was not there previously, and felt along it. A plain chain, white gold from the looks of it. A look of confusion came over her before both hands lifted behind her, undoing the clasp and removing the chain from her neck. Letting it lay in the palm of her hand she closed her hand around it before tossing it onto the bed and shaking her head as she walked out of the room.
Heather Miller: “You didn't feel anything did you?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “No, and that's what bothers me the most.”
Heather shut the door before following behind her for a moment.
Heather Miller: “Hey, I am going to get showered and dressed, help yourself as usual, and I will catch up with you shortly.”
Kay nodded before Heather vanished into a bed room to the side leaving Kaylyn to head down to the living room alone. Sitting down on the black couch she pulled her white sock covered feet up onto the couch in front of her, before wrapping her arms around her legs. Her attire a simple pair of shorts and a tank top. Nothing fancy.
Kaylyn James Evans: “Jesus, I must be losing it. There is no way someone slipped into the room without me knowing it.”
She stated aloud before shaking it from her head. Fuck that, at least for now. She had other things to worry about.
Kaylyn James Evans: “Ugh, this match... I still don't know what I plan to do. I mean... Kaito was just doing what he thought was the right thing to do.. however, I am not a child. I am not a damsel in distress. I can handle myself. Fuck, what do I do? Do I sit back and let the boys have at it? No, that is not me at all. I can't just let them take one another out and steal a win. They both need to realize that I don't care what their opinions might be... because once that bell rings they are both competition, and I will attack both of them. If they want to be stupid enough to take it, and not fight back... that is on them.. but I will bring it to both of them just the same. They both have something to learn, and I have everything to gain. This business is not about making friends... though it doesn't help. I don't need that. I don't need the help of another to keep myself out of trouble. I don't care of the situations I get myself into. I always find a way to get out of them, and this is no different.
Dalca, you have mistaken me for someone else. You know that already. I might resemble someone you care about, but I am not her. You need to get that into your head and real soon, because I wont tolerate your nonsense anymore. You think I pulled away from you because of who, or what you are? That had nothing to do with it. The fact of the matter is I am with someone, and I am happy with them. So when a stranger walks up and takes my hand to kiss it... of course I am going to pull my hand back! I am not just going to sit there and act like it is okay, because it's not.
Just like it is not okay for Kaito to think he needs to defend me. I am a big girl, I can handle myself. I don't need someone to run in on a white horse to my rescue, and Tyler... he knows that. That is why he has not done it. He knows that I can handle myself. He knows I don't need him to run down and fight my battles for me. That is why he has not been around. That is something that these leptons don't realize. I said it from day one... Tyler and I don't mix business and pleasure. Our life, is outside of the arena. Inside the arena we are on our own. Sure he went to the hospital with me a while back... that was completely different though. That is the only reason one of us would step up for another... when things are made personal. Dalca, Kaito, this is personal to me.
Week after week I have been dealing with the shit going on and I am sick and tired of it. This week I am going to prove something to the both of you. I am going to prove that I am not the one you want to fuck with. I might be the female in the ring this week, but I will dominate, and show everyone in the arena that I am more than they have come to think. Everyone expects so little of me, and I don't blame them... after all, I never showed what I was truly capable of, but that is going to change. I am tired of being nice, and now I am going to do what I have to do. Step one... is to get past these two thorns in my side this week... and that will be done. I will not leave room for failure.
The times are changing, and that much is a fact. You two had better prepare yourselves, because this time... I am not leaving without a win. You can count on that.”
Kaylyn stood up and grabbed her phone off the side table before hitting the speaker button and hitting talk twice. A few rings later a familiar voice was heard.
Tyler Brooks: “What's up baby?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “Not much, just wanted to call you before I got ready.”
Tyler Brooks: “Did you enjoy yourself?”
Kaylyn James Evans: “You know I did, but I missed you. I'm more than ready to come home. How's a night out before the pay-per-view sound?”
Tyler Brooks: “That sounds good to me.”
Kaylyn James Evans: “Good. I should be in around five, so lets say be ready by seven. I will see you soon love.”
Tyler Brooks: “Okay Kay, sounds like a plan.”
Kaylyn smiled before hanging up the phone. Her spirits lifted plenty. Smile still on her face she fell back down onto the couch relaxing, after all, Heather was in the shower.
Kaylyn James Evans: “This week is going to be great.”
