Backstage: “It’s not me!”

 

Corey Black is walking through the backstage area and towards the ambulance preparing to take Eli from the arena. Kaylyn Evans is stood there, watching the horrible scenes unfold as he approaches.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Kaylyn asks loudly, everyone turning their attention to Black.

Corey doesn’t quite understand it, “What?”

She gets in his face, “have you seen what you did? Look at him Corey, you’ve broken his leg! He’s in a serious condition, the EMT’s don’t think it looks good.”

Again, Corey doesn’t understand. “It wasn’t me, Kaylyn. After everything you and I have been through, when I tell you it isn’t me, you have to believe me. I don’t want this match between us tonight, I don’t want any of this.”

“You’ve got a nerve. You’ve taken Eli’s career away from him and you have the nerve to deny it? I’ll see you in the ring.”

Kaylyn storms off and leaves Black stood there, confused.
