Defeat won't stop me. 6-27-11
June 30, 2011
She had not been seen since Jackson had defeated her. She came so close, only to fall behind once again. Her body had been beaten, bruised, battered. Did she expect to win going into the match ? No. Not at all. Did she give it her all? She damn straight did, and Jackson was feeling that as much as she had felt everything that had been sent her way. The after effects being a stay in the hospital. Kaylyn was worn down completely, but she was not going to let that stop her, she was anything but a quitter. Sitting there on the couch she held her head in her hands, her eyes were closed, and she was trying to focus. She knew there was another match set to come, knew who she had to face, and was not ready to get back into the ring yet, but again... nothing was going to stop her.
Slowly she lifted that head of hers, hearing those footsteps approaching she had a smile on her face seeing Darien coming into the room. His brother had taken Reina for the night, so it was just the two of them, and the beers that he held in his hand. Passing one over to her she accepted it before he seated himself on the couch with her.
“Don't worry about it Kay, you have been through so much worse, and you always come back out on top.”
“I know Dar, I do. While I might have been through worse, Jackson was a hell of a competitor, one of if not the strongest I have ever gotten into the ring against. It was pure hell.”
“It looked like it, and after seeing you in the hospital, I already knew you would hesitate once more to get back into the ring, but that is why I am always here, to stop you from backing down. It's not you, and I refuse to let you do it because of that.”
Kay smirked before taking a sip from that bud he had handed her. Lowering it from her lips as she swallowed that cool liquid she parted her lips to speak.
“I know, and I am grateful that you are always here to keep me going if I try to back down. Sometimes, its what I need. This week I go against Tristan, and while I might not be ready tostep into the ring.. I will. Nothing will stop me. I am going to go in and give it my all once more, and this time, even if I lose, I will still rise and come back again. They will see it does not matter if I win or lose, I will keep coming back. Keep fighting. I have had to do it many times before, and in the end... I always wind up growing stronger. They will see that I only learn from defeat. Every defeat will make me a little stronger. Nothing will stop me from climbing that ladder back to the top. I will be damned if I let it.”
Darien smiled hearing the fight coming back to her, but remained quiet letting her speak.
“I, unlike my opponent, don't need to deal with the psycho babble of some psychiatrist week in and week out to get things straight in my head. Hell I don't needthings straight in my head to get things done in the ring... so long as people don't piss me off, they have nothing to worry about. It's once they piss me off... that's where the problem lays, and soon enough they will figure that out. They already seen I can handle myself in the ring... Hell, through what Jackson said alone.. they know I can do anything if I set my mind to it. Just like I told Jackson... I don't care about wins and losses... I only care about making a statement, and while I lost against Jackson.. that statement has been made. NastyPro... has been put on notice.”
Kaylyn sighed as she stretched, her face showing she was still feeling some pain... where, she would not allow her opponent to see that much. Would not give them the satisfaction of knowing just where she was still weakened. Laying her head onto the chest of Darien, he wrapped his arm around her before kissing her head. Her eyes closed slowly as she held that beer in her hand seemingly not wanting it just yet. Darien seen her eyes come to a close and reached for that beer to take it from her so she could rest, but she held onto it.
“It's fine. I won't drop it.”
A soft smile crossed his face as she said that before he moved his hand back just keeping an eye on her. It seemed she didn't have much to say after all. She didn't need to talk to get the job done... she didn't need to get inside her opponents head... all she needed, was to rest before getting into the ring and laying someone out.
